CLCO 490 - Senior Project in Cloud Computing

The course helps students to explore new cutting-edge technologies in software and hardware before stepping into the mainstream. In doing project work, students should focus on the advanced and applied field of cloud computing. Through the senior project, students will have a good knowledge and understanding of cloud computing. The projects students will be doing are related but not limited to software as a service (SaaS), infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), MapReduce and Hadoop clusters, BitTorrent protocol for data movement within the grid, technical security issues & precision for secure cloud transactions, mobile applications on cloud and multi-cloud based disaster recovery service. Students will discuss with the designated faculty or their advisor before choosing the project with the designated faculty or their advisor before choosing the project.
