CHEM 101L - General Chemistry 1 credits 3 lecture hours. 3 lab hours.
A careful study of the fundamental principles of chemistry with emphasis on mathematical manipulations, symbols, formulas and equations, the structure of atoms and the Periodic Law, Chemical bonding, Molecular Structure, the Gaseous State and Kinetic Molecular Theory, and the Liquid and Solid States. Laboratory work introduces students to basic chemical techniques and includes introductory inorganic qualitative and quantitative analyses.
