COSC 281 - Discrete Structure 3 credits 3 lecture hours.
The purpose of this course is to provide an up-to-date and didactically coherent introduction to discrete mathematics. This course is designed to introduce the mathematical techniques which are of the greatest importance to theoretical computer science. Topics to be discussed include Boolean algebra, partially ordered structures, prepositional logic, predicate logic, graphs, and coding theory.
Prerequisite(s) COSC 112 completed with a grade of “C” or higher Offered (FALL/SPRING)
