INSS 394 - Data Analytics: Visualization and Storytelling


3 credits
3 hours per week. 3 lecture hours.

This course is designed to introduce data visualization as an analytical tool, a medium of communication and data storytelling, and the basis for interactive information dashboards. The goal of this course is for students to learn about various forms of data across different domains as well as the theory and practice of data visualization by understanding, questioning, and analyzing how data are produced, analyzed, and used. In this course, students will learn how to visualize data, interpret findings, apply descriptive analytics, visualize large data sets, and examine the impacts of data-driven decisions.

Prerequisite(s) INSS 141  completed with a grade of “C” or higher
