CYBR 150 - Cybersecurity Fundamentals


3 credits
This course is an introductory course and will cover foundational and some core topics of cybersecurity defense. It will cover threats and adversaries and examine vulnerabilities and essential risk management like backups and recovery.  It will introduce the following concepts: common attacks, risk assessment, security life-cycle, access control models, confidentiality, integrity, availability, access, authentication, and counter-measures. It will also introduce the principles of isolation, encapsulation, modularity, and others. It will also deal with the I.T. systems components and miscellaneous basic cybersecurity operations.
