ODSW 702 - Neurobiology and Psychopharmacology in Social Work Practice

This course will focus on the neurobiological implications for behaviors that develop due to the impact of urban living conditions and adaptation. Students will examine global differences in intervention strategies and currently used pharmacological interventions. Scholarly literature, lectures, guest speakers, case studies, and class discussions will facilitate students dialogue and learning on how to use neurobiological functioning, disease progression, and medication when assessing, developing treatment plans, and across the treatment process.
