POSC 450 - Senior Seminar in Political Science 3 credits 3 hours per week.
This course is a capstone course. It is the second part of a two-term sequence starting with and building upon POSC 307 . This is a mandatory course and the final comprehensive seminar validating students’ education in Political Science at Morgan State University; its success full completion is a prerequisite for graduating in Political Science. Students will apply their knowledge to conduct research that culminates in an article-length 25-page Capstone paper. Students will write a publishable-style paper which contains a well-written introduction, problem statement, purpose statement, research question, literature review, methodology, data collection, and analysis. This seminar also tests students understanding, through the writing of comprehensive exams in the four major areas of the political science discipline (US Government, Comparative Government, Political Theory, and International Relations)
Prerequisite(s) POSC 101 , POSC 201 , POSC 307 , POSC 314 , POSC 385 , POSC 402 completed with grades of “C” or higher Offered (FALL/SPRING)
