Interdisciplinary Technology Services, B.S.

The B.S. in Interdisciplinary Technology Services (INTS) appeals to potential students who are working as technicians, web development, IT and computer support, or sales.  This program will also appeal to students who have taken courses in mathematics, life and physical sciences, creative arts, or social and behavioral sciences.  The potential graduates of this program will have growth opportunities in their careers such as systems administration, network administrations, computer specialists, database management, database administration, computer technicians, computer security management, or web design and development.

 

Requirements for the B.S. Degree in Interdisciplinary Technology Services (INTS)

A minimum of 120 credit hours are required to graduate.  These credit hours are distributed as follows:  

General Education and University Requirements:     42 credits

Interdisciplinary Major Coursework:     48 credits

CICS Requirements:    30 credits

Total Credits:     120

General Education and University Requirements 42 credits


Interdisciplinary Major Coursework 48 credits


Students must earn a grade of “C” or higher in major coursework

Lower Level Coursework (100-200 level courses) 24 credits


Lower level coursework (100-200 level) must be 24 credits chosen from the following areas:  

College of Liberal Arts (CLA):  Screenwriting and Animation (SWAN), Psychology (PSYC), Sociology (SOCI), Art (ART), Music (MUSC)

School of Business and Management (GSBM):  Business Administration (BUAD), Information Science and Systems (INSS)

School of Computer, Mathematical, and Natural Sciences (SCMNS):  Computer Science (COSC), Mathematics (MATH), Medical Laboratory Science (MLS)

School of Engineering (SOE):  Civil Engineering (CEGR), Electrical Engineering (EEGR), Engineering (ENGR), Industrial Engineering (IEGR), Mechatronics Engineering (MEGR), Transportation and Urban Infrastructure (TRSS)

Upper Level Coursework (300-400 level courses) 24 credits


Upper level coursework (300-400 level) must be 24 credits chosen from the following areas:
