The B.S. in Interdisciplinary Sciences appeals to potential students who are working in the healthcare industry, data analysis, IT support, lab work, or business. This program will also appeal to students who have taken courses in life and physical science, business, mathematics, or social and behavioral science. The potential graduates of this program will have growth opportunities in their careers int he fields of environmental studies, health professions, humanities, interdisciplinary studies, or computer programming.
Requirements for the B.S. Degree in Interdisciplinary Sciences
A minimum of 120 credit hours are required to graduate. These credit hours are distributed as follows:
General Education and University Requirements 42 credits
Interdisciplinary Major Coursework 48 credits
CICS Requirements 30 credits
Total Credits 120

Students must earn a grade of “C” or higher in major coursework Lower Level Coursework (100-200 level) 24 credits
Lower Level Coursework (100-200 level) must be 24 credits chosen from the following areas: College of Liberal Arts (CLA): Psychology (PSYC), Sociology and Anthropology (SOCI) School of Community Health and Policy (SCHP): Nutritional Sciences (NUSC), Public Health (PUBH), Nursing (NURS) School of Computer, Mathematical and Natural Sciences (SCMNS): Biology (BIOL), Chemistry (CHEM), Mathematics (MATH), Medical Laboratory Sciences (MLS), Computer Science (COSC), Physics (PHYS) School of Education and Urban Studies (SEUS): Education (EDUC), Family and Consumer Sciences (FACS), Physical Education (PHEC), Secondary Education (SCED) Upper Level Coursework (300-400 level) 24 credits
