CYBR 250 - Scripting Fundamentals


3 credits
This course will build on the fundamentals and delve further into the operating systems (O.S.) used by business enterprises today: Linux, Mainframe, Unix, iOS, and Android.  The student will learn the various command and scripting languages where the user may interface and override each O.S. through batch scripts or command level interfaces. It will enhance the students’ analytical, logical, and structured thinking skills with script development for these popular operating systems. Students will learn to formulate algorithms and develop and implement cybersecurity solutions. The course discusses basic concepts such as selection, sequence, and iteration.  This course will also present basic operating system concepts that drive scripting languages and the command-line interface.

Prerequisite(s) CYBR 150  completed with a grade of “C” or higher
