CYBR 430 - Cybercrime Forensics


3 credits
This course will examine computer forensic principles relating to operating system concepts, registry structure, file system notions, boot processes, and file operations. The course will also introduce intrusion detection methodologies, tools, and approaches to incident response. It will deal with cybercrime like intrusions, ransomware espionage, intellectual property fraud, financial cyberstalking, predators, cyberbullying, sexual exploitation, identity theft, terrorism, etc. Modules on digital forensics that deal with legal compliance regarding applicable laws and cooperation with law enforcement bodies at the local, state, federal, and international levels are covered in this course, along with digital investigations.

Prerequisite(s) CYBR 150  completed with a grade of “C” or higher
