Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising Minor

The Department of Family and Consumer Sciences offers a Minor in Fashion Design and Fashion Merchandising for students majoring in other disciplines. The minor is designed for students who wish to gain expertise in fashion design and merchandising as a complement to their major fields, such as marketing, journalism, theater, communications, and advertising. This minor will provide students with an understanding of the multifaceted aspects of the global fashion industry and its application to apparel and textiles. The minor consists of 18 credits.
