PHEC 404 - Perceptual Motor Development


3 credits
3 hours per week.

This course introduces the study of motor behavior, including motor development, motor learning, and motor control. Students will examine typical developmental stages to better design practice and learning activities. Emphasis is placed on differentiating motor skill tasks to meet individual needs across the lifespan. The course also covers practice schedules and structures that support motor skill acquisition, refinement, and excellence. 

Prerequisite(s) PHEC 200  compelted with a grade of “C” or higher
